My grandma is born in a city called WuHu, in a province located in AnHui, China.

My grandma grew up in a rural area, with ponds and ducks that she liked to play with.

She began to attend a local elementary school at the age of 7.

She finished elementary school at the age of 15, and traveled to the city to attend middle school.

She stayed in the same city (Ma'anshan),finished middle school, and started high school.

She graduates high school and goes to the state/province university (AnHui University) at age 21. She meets her future husband there and she got married at the age of 23. At age 25, there is a nation-wide famine, and her family doens't have much money. She also graduates college, gets her first job, and gives birth to her first child.

The chinese cultral revolution occured when my grandma was 27. When she was 29, she bore a second child. A third child was born at the age of 30 (my father).

Her husband was a professor. He left to teach in the countryside, so the family got broken up.

Her husband came back to teach in the city, so the family was again reunited.

She got a job promotion as a business/sales manager.

The incidents in Tiananmen square assacre happened when my grandma was 50.

She retired from her job as a sales manager when she was the age of 55.

After retirement, she didn't do much, really. My sister was born in China and my parents left for the U.S., so she took care of my sister.

She came to visit her son and her daughter-in-law when she was the age of 61. The following year after returning to China, her husband passed away of pancreatic cancer at the age of 73. Two years following that, she got baptized and became a Christian.

At the age of 70, she bought a new house in BeiHai, GuangXi, China.

In 2011, at the age of 72, my grandma came to America for a second time to visit family (Me and my sister were now born.) Upon returning, she serves in her church as a Christian.
