    Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Nintendo Wii is a platform fighter that was huge for my family as single player games didn't bode well with 2 older brothers. This simple competitive party game brought me out of the backseat for a first chance on the controller.

    Minecraft

    Minecraft is a 3D block-based sandbox game that allows players to build anything, this quickly made Minecraft a creative outlet for me who spent many hours on voxel creations. This gave me a chance to recognise my own creative potential.

    Skyrim is an action RPG that was one of my first single-player experiences. This game holds a special place in my heart as it introduced and made me fall in love with the open-world RPG genre. The freedom and exploration Skyrim allowed set it apart to become one of my favourite videogames.

    Portal 2 is a puzzle-platform videogame that introduced puzzle games to my baby brain. This game broadened my idea of gameplay as someone who was raised on action games the mental gymnastics was a refreshing change of pace.

    God of War is an action-adventure game and is my favourite game to date. The combination of a meticulously built world, enthralling combat and engaging storytelling created this ground-breaking, palm-sweating, tear-jerking masterpiece of a videogame.

    Although late to the D&D party my experience with the game has been nothing but fun. As the designated Dungeon Master having to juggle intriguing storylines, gripping combat and appealing to players gave me both an appreciation and passion for designing games.
