A girl from Kazakhstan is moving to Amrerica. She is trying to adapt to the new place. When she gets to the school the teacher hands out permission slips a school dance she dose not know weather to go or not. -
Coming to America
When Maya ( the girl) comes to America she finds a dating magazine. At the airport her aunt was looking at magazine and the next thing they knew she got a pictur taken of herself. -
Permission slip
When Maya gose to her school for the first time the teacher hands out a permission slip to a dance. When she gets home she trys to find a way to tell her parents to sign the permission slip.Her parents agreed for her to go to the dance. -
The Fight
Maya was called to the office one day because of her brother. Her brother got into a fight. Her brother was named Nurzhan. He was also suspended. The reason why Maya was called up was because they need her help to contact her mother. -
The confrerence
When they started the conference Maya's mom did not know alot of English. Maya had to translate what Mr. Shanaman was saying. Maya did not want to get her brother grounded so the words that Mr. Shanaman was saying she translated them to make it sound like her brother didnt do any thing. -
Back at Home
Back at home Nurzhan was punished real bad. He could not watch tv and he was left without food for diner. Maya was making diner and her brother was doing his work. Then Maya told her brother she missed gymnastics meet because of him and she was really upset. -
Lifting bodys
After school Maya and some other kids was waiting for the activity bus. One guy by the name of David Pfeiffer was waiting with Maya the thing is Maya had a crush on him. When they got off the bus David was lifting weights in the building. Then when he was finished he wanted to lift Shannon a girl from the school. -
Lifting Bodys part 2
When he was lifting Shannon he lifted up Maya. He did this to show how strong he was. Later on Maya's dad pulled up and yelled out her name. Then the boy droped them both and Maya left.
