My passion of books surface and my patient for the long wait for the book to be translated in Spanish was tested. It didn't work for me. I began acquiring English by reading. As a Late Bilingual in this time of my life I was not a "true" bilingual even though I was reading in English I coudn't comunicate almost at all. Thats why I was a Receptive Bilingual; understanding English but speaking in Spanish.

Family and friends move to United States and among those who leave was my baby boy nephew. He is a bright boy who start speaking perfect English in just a few months. I talk to him in both languages, English and Spanish.Even though it was sad we were apart this was a great oportunity to practice my English and for him to practice his Spanish, throught the phone.

I decide to do an interview to apply for a bilingual teacher position in a BEC-21 School and I was hired. Now I'm in the middle of becoming a certified bilingual teacher. I hope for the improvement of my second language to become at least a coordinated bilingual.
