  • Marie's first issues with mom and dad: Basic trust Vs Mistrust

    She saw a look of disappointment in my parents' eyes and words when they sat her down and told her how much she had failed them after fighting back with a girl who attacked her because they always thought her to be nice and kind to people but she failed to do so when she attacked this girl. she had violated their trust
    In Erikson's first stage - Basic trust Vs Mistrust
    The crisis between trusting what her parents say of not fighting back and what her mind tells her to do so for her own pride.

  • Marie's decision to make amends : Initiative Vs Guilt

    Right on the next day she started having this sense of guilt that made her want to work harder to regain her parent's trust. On this day, she made the decision to apologize to her parents, the girl in question and her school teacher. She also decided to act better and work hard towards staying on track.
    Erikson's Third Stage - Initiative Vs Guilt
    The crisis is between feeling guilty for her actions and make amends or just go with her old thoughts and imagination of no guilt and do nothing.

  • Marie's general growth decision : Industry Vs inferiority

    Moving on, she learnt to stand for the right things and against bullies. And from age 15, she attended classes and programs to help those bullied, abused and much more. It was very educating and this helped her get a sense of identity and self achievement. But she sometimes wondered if her parents were satisfied with what she was did.
    Erikson's Fourth stage - Industry Vs Inferiority
    This crisis is between feeling industrious, satisfied and successful Vs feeling inferior and less accomplished.

  • Marie's happiness and greatest satisfaction : Intimacy Vs Isolation

    While standing up for what she believed was right, she met the love of her life and by the time she was 25 years old, she got married in her home town. And on this same day, her parents both made her know how much they loved her and how proud they were for the wonderful woman she had become.
    Erikson's sixth stage - Intimacy Vs Isolation
    The crisis is between either secluding myself physically and emotionally Vs opening up and letting someone in and be committed to.
