He may have convinced her to play softball again but she doesn't want to be bullied by all of the girls who call her a slut and make fun of her for her mom.     Parker practices with the old softball team but they all talk about her behind her back and make fun of her so she decides not to play. Brian becomes the head coach of the baseball team which Parker is excited about. The next day he shows up to Parker's church and they hide in a closet. When they walk out Parker is caught by her dads new girlfriend and is really embarassed but doesn't think she'll say anything.     The next week after the baseball game Brian invites Parker to go to the park with him and his dog. When they're there he kisses her and then ditches her but still keeps flirting with her. That night she goes to dinner with "corndog" (Will) and Drew and they find out Drew is gay but it is a secret between them. Will seems to like Parker. 137

    Parker has feelings for Brian and Will but Drew likes Will so Parker tries not to like Will back. Will takes Parker to his church and she likes him even more. That night she sees Brian and she is annoyed because he wants to keep this a secret so she starts getting over it. 180

    Brian keeps trying to get Parker back but she doesn't like that he doesn't want something real. After a game Will and Parker are talking in the equipment shed and he asks her to prom she says she needs to think because of Brain and Drew. Then Will leaves and Brian comes in Laura catches them talking and tells. They get called to the principals and Brian has to resign so they don't get in trouble. 204

    Will and Drew are mad at Parker because of Brian and won't talk to her. Parker calls her mom and stays with her for spring break because she has no friends anymore. The softball team beats the baseball team and things seem to be getting better with Will and Drew. The book ends at prom Will forgives her and so does Drew. Will and Parker dance and might date. 242
