    The Japanese launched an attack on singapore which was currently held by british forces. The British were expecting an attack from the left and thought that the deep thick forest would protect them. So the British put all the gear on the left. The Japanese went through the thick woods and attacked the British. 60,000 people were help captive by the Japanese.

    American and Japanese aircraft carriers attacked eachother in an "aircraft carrier battle only." The Japanese drove the Americans out, but they thought there were other American aircraft carriers near them so they cancelled their missions.

    The first battle between the United States and Japan. The Japanese wanted to trick the Americans, by fake targeting somewhere else, but the U.S. figured it out. They fought in the skies and sea and the U.S. came out in victory. Many Japanese planes and aircraft carriers were destroyed.

    A series of battles on land and sea. The allies attacked the Japanese at Guadalcanal island. Both sides suffererd heavy loss, but the U.S. won over the island and now communications between the United States and Austriala were now secure.

    One of the most famous battles of WWII. It was fought on a tiny island between the Japanese and the United States. The very famous and iconic holding up the flag picture was taken here.
