The Japanese government announces its plans to create a 'Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere' that unites east and southeast Asia under Japanese rule. Japan also strengthens its relationships with Italy and Germany.

Japan's expansion in Asia creates tensions with the USA which makes Japan prepare for war and bomb Pearl Harbor. Due to Japan's bombing, the Pacific War breaks out between the USA and Japan.

Japan wins victories with the Aleutian Islands in the Pacific and the Solomon Islands near Alaska (not colored in the map) and they are added to the Japanese empire. USA later fights Japan and wins major victories and the islands they had added to their empire were lost.

When Japanese refuses to surrender to America, the results are a bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This time, the USA uses atomic bombs which kill thousands of people. More were injured and the parts of the city reduced to nothing.
