    Miranda was born in May, 2004 in Armidale hospital.

    Two holes were found in her heart some months later.

    Miranda began to vomit 2-3 times a day.

    Miranda's smaller hole in her heart closes over by itself.
  • New Zealand

    Miranda moved with her family to New Zealand at the age of 2 years old.
  • Miranda's house

    Miranda move into a townhouse and had a bedroom that could only fit her bed and her basket of teddy bears.
  • A permanent home

    Miranda moved into a beautiful new home with a park down the road, in Dunedin.
  • Miranda started preschool

    Miranda started preschool in Dunedin, New Zealand, at City Heights Childcare facility. She met Charlotte Andrews, her best friend.
  • Vomiting stopped

    The vomiting stopped 3 years later, leaving Miranda skinny.
  • Best day of her life

    Miranda has the best day of her life with her best friend Charlotte. They visit Otago peninsula where Miranda threw up because the seatbelt was to tight. They visited the albatross centre, the blue penguins and the seal island. Miranda remembered a sweet seal pup waddling up to her and staring into her eyes with wide eyes.
  • Miranda commences school

    It was Miranda's 5th birthday when she started school.
  • Samoan Tsunami

    A tsunami hit Samoa and killed thousands, including Charlottes grandmother who was having her 101th birthday. Charlotte visited Samoa for the funeral and sent Miranda back a squishy roll with penguins and glitter in it. Miranda treasured that toy forever, until it broke because she played with it too much.
  • Earthquakes

    Miranda felt Christchurch's earthquake tremors in her house. The couch slid across the floor and the chandeliers shook.
  • Amelia

    Amelia was Miranda's neighbour in New Zealand. She moved to Dunedin after the Christchurch earthquakes because it wasn't safe anymore. She became Miranda's best friend after Charlotte left.
  • Swimming lessons

    Miranda started swimming lessons on Fridays with her classmates at Mowana Pools.
  • Charlotte leaves

    Charlotte left for Parmesan North.
  • Back to Australia

    Miranda moved to Australia. She lived in a temporary apartment block in Austinmer where she would screech to the cockatoos and would walk to the beach. At the beach she found an octopus which she continued to visit every morning for 5 weeks. The octopus had babies and then Miranda moved away and never saw it again.
  • Miranda begins school

    Miranda begins school at Waniora public school. She gets bullied and has no friends for the rest of that year.
  • Miranda fights back

    Miranda gives her bully a letter saying how they have affected her and how mean they have been. The bully then apologises and they become best friends.
  • Action

    Miranda's parent push for action on the large hole in her heart.
  • Leaking valve

    A leaking heart valve is discovered and doctors suggest surgery in six months if it does not close over.
  • Goodbye

    Miranda says 'Goodbye' to her unscarred chest.
  • Surgery

    Miranda gets open heart surgery to patch the hole in her heart and in turn fix the leaking valve.
  • Success

    The surgery is a success and the hole is patched. Miranda stays in hospital for 7 more days.
  • Reports of Hypertension

    The anaesthetist reports that there is hypertension in the arteries, but the doctors brush off the information.
  • Right heart cath

    Miranda had her first right heart cath, in turn confirming that she had PAH (Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension).
  • No cure

    The doctors later confirmed that if they had performed the tests a few months earlier they could have cure the PAH.
  • Miranda moves house

    Miranda moves houses on the anniversary of her surgery to Keiraville.
  • Lady Elliot Island

    Miranda goes on her first and favourite overseas holiday, to the Great Barrier Reef. She enjoys the 5 days she spends at the buffet, and has many lovable memories.
  • Starts fostercare

    Miranda begins looking after kittens for the RSPCA and becomes attached to stray siblings, Peanut and Plum, her first fostercare kittens.
  • AG

    Miranda gets into the Academically Gifted class and attends in 2015.
  • Another test

    Miranda misses out on camp in Canberra and has another right heart cath, at Royal Children's Hospital of Melbourne.
  • First funeral

    Miranda attends the funeral of Janice who had always wanted Miranda to be her kid. She had been battling cancer for 11 years and died at the age of 51 years.
  • Year 6 camp

    Miranda attends her first school camp in Berry.
  • Formal

    Miranda attends her year 6 formal and finds a chicken heart in her chicken.
  • Miranda begins highschool

    Miranda starts Smiths Hill High with a bang, at year 7 camp.
  • Gastritis

    Miranda has her first set of gastritis which limits her to only jelly and custard for a week and puts her in intense pain.
  • Vocal Cords

    Miranda discovers one of her vocal cords are paralysed, likely because of the open heart surgery. This is soon after she starts singing lessons.
