Aspirations
Growing up Millie wanted to be a spy for the CIA, but she then changed her mind and considered going to The Women's College, however she ended up going to UCLA in 2007. -
UCLA Journey
While at UCLA, Millie joined the Daily Broom student newspaper and wrote about technology, becoming a Tech columnist her first year and an Opinion Columnist her third. -

During college Millie did an internship for the LA Magazine which exposed her to the editorial and business side of Journalism, which she appreciateed alot -
Career Aspirations
During her senior year of college in 2011 when she graduated, Millie applied for a job working for the Atlantic Media Fellowship where she would be a part of a think tank of journalists working with digital media. Millie was also offered a job around the same time at the Washington Post, however she thought that the Post would always be there and took the job for Atlantic Media Fellwoship because of the marvelous opportunity that it presented for her -
Atlantic Media & Life in Washington
Millie was excited to experience life in Washington D.C. which had a very tight knit journalism community Millie was only working for the Atlantic Media Fellowship for a short time when she received a job offer working for the National Marketing Association, a year-long fellowship where she worked on the business and sales side of Journalism, learning to create spreedsheets -
Getting Back Into Editing
After a year Millie wanted to get back on the editing side of Journalism. She was hired as an International Relations Multi-media assistant for about 8 months when a friend of hers Jeff contacted her about another job opportunity. -
Buzzfeed News
Jeff was becoming a part of Buzzfeed, which was a news app dedicated to giving people an experience for news in a different way than conventional news apps. Jeff brought Millie on as a part of the Buzzfeed team. -
Buzzfeed & the Future for Millie
Millie was so excited about being a part of something that has never been done before. She hopes to continue her journey because her work in journalism is not yet complete!
