Michelle graduates from Saginaw Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in education. Her major is history and her minor is political science. During her senior year of college she was on the SVSU Homecoming Court.

Michelle starts substitute teaching for the Clawson Public Schools district in Clawson, MI. She subs on average four days a week. She also works at the daycare for the district.

Michelle is offered a teaching job at Lincoln County High School. She moves to West Virginia a week later. Michelle teachs U.S. History and 20th / 21st Century for the school.

Michelle's students nominate her for the KEE 100 Teacher of the Month. They make a video about her teaching at LCHS. Michelle wins the award and is honored by Dave and Jenn from the KEE 100 radio station.

Michelle starts her Master's program at Marshall University. She will pursue a degree in Secondary Education.
