    Was characterized by considerably more refined clothing. This was defined by much a romantic and dandy movement. This movement was influenced by the English Revolution.

    Men’s fashion was inspired by English chic: sober colors and shapes. Clothes during this time period were still heavily influenced by the Revolution. Large caps and a top hat were very common during this time period.

    Men's clothing during this time period was known as the "Victorian Age". Clothing was known to be crafted with velvet, silk, or or canvas with silk or Berlin wool work embroidery.

    1850's reflected a preference for bolder styling particularly seen in frock coats with wider lapels and looser cuts. Fashion became more "fancier" and "extravagant".
