The magna carta established the principal that the power of the monarchy was not absolute. It gave the citizens the rights of trial by jury, due process of law and couldn't take away life liberty or property. -

First governing document of the colony of Plymouth.It was written by people who were called separatist Congregationalists. They called themselves saints. They later on were referred to as pilgrims. They were trying to hide/ avoid being arrested by King James of England. -

May 8th is when it was created. It limited the kings power in several ways.It put in place restrictions on non-Parliamentary taxation, forced billeting of soldiers, imprisonment without cause, and the use of martial law. -
