Chapter 1-5 pages 3 thru 31
In these chapters the main cha-racter Nancy Harmon is letting her kids play outside. She feels like it might be time to bring them in and goes outside to get them . The children are not there and they have been taken by some man and he is kidnapping them for money. In the chapters past that the reader learns that Nancy had kids before these and she changed her name because her other kids disapperader and people think she killed her kids. -
Chapters 6- 11 pages 32 thru 56
In these chapters the reader learns a little more about Nancy's life. She had children and was married before she had the family she has now. Her kids disspaerared and the town thinks that she killed her kids. Then the reader learns that her past children drowned in the lake. When Nancy's present children go missing the first place she runs to is the lake which draws suspicion. -
Chapter 12- 18 pages 57 thru 84
In these chapters the reader figures out that the man who is keeping Nancy's children is Courtney Parrish. He is keeping them at a shack for money. Nancy must find her children as her past life is coming out to the people in the town. -
Chapters 19- 25 pages 85 thru 121
In these chapters the people in the town help Nancy track down her children. She has friends in the police force who aretrying to find evidence to find Michael and Missy. They have figured out that Mr. Parrish has been renting an apartment for 6 or seven years. -
Chapters 26- 33 pages 122 thru 179
In these chapters they go to the apartment that belongs to Mr. Parrish. They then open the door and see Courtney Parrish. He says it was a bad day for them to come. Mr. Parrish had taped the childrens mouth's shut and hidden them in a room. He keeps thinking very disturbing thoughts about the children and how he wants to hurt them. He is trying to sell his house so it won't be suspicous. He then goes to the room where the children are and grabs the girl to find that her face is blue. -
Chapters 34- 40 pages 180 thru 250
In these chapters a strom comes to the town and knocks out all of the electricity. Then Courtney can roam freely while the power is out. The town people are questioning Nancy about her past and if she killed her children who actually drowned in a lake. Courtney takes the tape off the childrensmouth and the buy screams and asked why he did this to his sister. The boy then runs down the stairs and Courtney chases after him. He then says that he will "take him to his mom". -
Chapters 41- 45 pages 251 thru 290
In these chapters Nancy's frined finds the girls mitten and Nancy says that the children are there. Nancy goes to the house and hears her son's voice. She runs upstairs and Courtney lunges at her. Nancy's police frined comes and runs upstairs. Missy wakes up and is screaming. Courtney tries to run but slipps off the icy balconny. Nancy then gets to take her lovely children home with her forever
