    Born of February 18, 1516 in Greenwhich, located near London, England. Mary was the daughter of King Henry VIII of England and Catherine of Aragon. Her father had recently denounced Luther/Protestantism.

    Mary Tudor was baptized when she was only 2 days old. Her godfather Cardinal Wolsey had baptized her. This was important because this is before protestant reformation occurred.

    Even though this event did not directly affect Mary, it affected her life. The protestant reformation which occurred in Germany was mainly influenced by German ex-monk Martin Luther who posted the 95 theses and abuses in the Church were getting exposed by ex monks like Luther

    Mary became the godmother to Queen Jane's son Edward. This was important because Edward had the chance of having power in the kingdom. This did not occur because Jane passed away 2 weeks after giving birth to her son
