After four years of battling with the catholic church, Pope Leo X excommunicated Martin Luther for not recanting fourty-five sentances in his theses.

In Worms, a diet is held for Martin Luther. He is tried and after again not recanting his ninety five thesis he is considered an oulaw, his work is banned, and there is a warrant out for his arrest. His books were burned in the meantime. Kiulling Luther is now legal, and anyone who gives Luther food or shelter is considered treasonous by law.

After a year of hiding, Martin Luther came back to Wickenburg in secret and held 8 sermons in 8 days. Known as the, "Invocate sermons" These opened the eyes of the people, and provided a safe place for Martin Luther to stay. During the reformation, the "Peasants War" also took place between new religions formed in the reformations. Luther and Lutheranism survived.

From 1525 to 1529, Luther creates an organized church with an organized set of beliefs. He also translates a German mass, but it is not directly from the Latin one. It is what he deems to be easier for the simple person to understand God.

Luther marrys Kathrina von Bora, one of the twelve nuns he saved from the Nimbschen Cistercian convent in April 1523. This is why Lutheran pastors are allowed to marry as Luther himself did. They together had six children.
