    Marie Antoinette was born on November 2, 1775. Her mother's name was Maria Theresa and she was the fifteenth child born in her family. She was born in the Hofburg palace in Vienna and her full name is Maria Antonia Josepha Joanna. All of her life her mom was expecting her to have a life of power and royalty which she soon accomplished later on (coffman 71).

The war is named after the Odawa leader Pontiac, one of the most famous native leaders (encyclopedia.com 1).

Once she was crowned her and her husband were soon symbolized for all of the excesses of the reviled french monarchy.     Marie Antoinette's first child was named Marie Thérèse after her mother. She was born on December 9, 1778, Marie Antoinette suffered a fit and collapsed after 12 hours of labor. Until she woke up, she didn't know the sex of her child. When she found out, her and her husband were disappointed to hear the gender of the child was a girl, but she was heard telling her child that she was no less dear to her and that she would be hers, while her son would have been property of the state (Plain 25)

    On July 14, 1780 a crowd armed with muskets, swords, and various makeshift weapons began to gather around the Bastille prison. They were angry about the unfair rule of the monarchy. After the capture of the prison, the Bastille had become a symbol of the unfair monarchy, and an end the the ancien regime. Soon after, Marie Antoinette, and Louis XVI were sent to the guillotine for treason, and there was a final end to all monarchies in France afterwards (coffman 72).

Many said that she was a convenient target for the activities going on, the press went on to say that she was doing "everything she could to undermine the french nation. Those in the lower estates especially disliked her because of her wealth (biography.com 10)

    The women's march to versailles took place in October of 1789. Women marched to the palace and demanded bread for their families. After a while, the king and queen agreed to meet with them to discuss, this act showed that people still have power over the king and queen. They were upset at Marie Antoinette because while the people were starving and she was eating feasts in their palace (biography.com 15)

Soon after her young son was forced to accuse his own mother of sexual abuse and incest, and she had lost custody. It was not until 9 months later, she was executed by the guillotine (coffman 72)

    Marie antoinette was convicted by the Revolutionary tribunal in october of 1793. The Revolutionary Tribunal nwas a court instituted by the National Convention during the French Revolution for the trial of political offenders. It became one of the most powerful engines of the Reign of Terror. They were the reason that Marie Antoinette was arrested and was sentenced to death (biography.com 17).

    On October 16, 1793 Marie Antoinette die at age 37, 9 months after her husband had been executed. She died by getting executed by the guillotine. As she walked through the crowd of people waiting to watch her die, they cheered with happiness that this was finally the end of the unfair monarchy. Her last words before she died were "I am sorry sir, I did not mean to put it there" because she stepped on the executors foot. She went on to the guillotine and got her head cut off (biography.com 41).
