Bubby Malke was born into a very poor family in a shteetle in Lipshe Poliana

The Nazis invaded Lipshe Poliana, Czechoslovakia. This is when my great grandmother was kicked out of her home, and everything was taken from her. Her life was changed forever.

Malke was in hiding, but then was put into hard labor camps, separated from her family.

Moved from Labor camps to Concentration camps, with her 2 parents and 12 siblings.

My great grandmother was forced to watch her parents get beaten and murdered in Aushwietz in front of her eyes

After being in hiding, then going from labor camps, to concentration camps, Malke lost both of her parents, and many of her siblings...but she lived, and was liberated.

Malke came on a boat to the United States of America. The first time she really knew she was free was when she saw the statue of liberty.

Lived in the lower east side for 3 months

Malke moved Queens for the rest of her adult life, she stayed her until all her children moved out, and until she had grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lived here for 45 years

Malke and Phillip moved to Boca Raton, Florida after their retirement.

At Malke's old age she started to get Alzheimer's disease, and my family flew her out to an Old Age home in Beverlyhills so that she can have more help and \we can see her more often
