Madonnas Mother Died
Madonna's mother died of breat cancer at the age of 30. Her father remarried after her mothers death, to the family's housekeeper, Joan Gustafson, and they had two children; Jennifer and Mario Ciccone. -

Drops out of university

Her First Album
She was 23 years old at the time living in New York, and trying to set up her music career. "Everybody" was her first single realesed by Kamins which soon became a huge dance hit. Kamins was the one who helped produce her first album called "MADONNA" -
2nd Album
Like a virgin was realesed at the end of 1984. Five singles were released from the album, with "Like a Virgin", "Material Girl" and "Into the Groove" becoming worldwide hits and making madonna well known of. She was no one hit wonder. -

Madonna got married with the actor Sean Penn and soon divorced in 1988. -

The year 2000 was very favorable for Madonna, when her awaited wedding coincided with Guy Ritchie and the birth of her second son Rocco Ritchie. -

Madonna and Guy Ritchie got maried at Skibo Castle in Scotland. They have a son, Rocco John Ritchie and adopted a Malawian baby boy named David. On 15 October 2008, they split up and got a divorce. -
