-Miles leaves his home in florida to go to a new boarding school in Alabama called Culver Creek.
-Hes going there to seek the "Great Perhaps".
-Hes into reading Biographys and his talent is knowing peoples last words.
-Meets roomate Chip Martin who goes by "Colonel"
-Miles meets Alaska and instantly likes her
-Miles tries smoking for the first time.
-Alaska tells Miles Simón Bolívar's final words; "Damn it, How will I ever get out of this labryinth."
-Alaskas bubbly,fun and moody. -
127 Days Before (Pg:21)
-Miles gets nicknamed "Pudge"
-He finds out Alaska already has a boyfriend.
-Meets Takumi
-Learns about Marya and Paul who got kicked out of the school for breaking rules.
-They were weekend warriors, the rich people.
-In the middle of the night 2 guys taped him and threw him in the lake. -
126 Days Before (Pg:29)
- Pudge relized that getting good grades wont be as easy as he thought. -They learned that one of the guys who threw him in the lake was Kevin and the other was Chase who was friends with Colonels girlfriend Sara. -Pudge likes Alaska but doesnt like how she treats him like hes 10.

122 Days Before (Pg:34)
-Colonel was going on a date with his girlfriend Sara and her parents but couldnt get his shirt less wrinkly.
-When Sara came she freaked out saying he didnt look good enough and that the reason her parents dont like him is because he antagonizes them.
-Sara is very rude
-They ended up not going and Colonel starts drinking but Pudge doesnt.
-Sara said that they taped him before throwing him in his lake was because they think Colonel ratted out Paul and Marya and there trying to get back at him. -
110 Days Before (Pg:38)
-Pudge gets kicked out of religion because he wasnt paying attention.
-Alaska stands up for him and gets kicked out to.
-Even though he kicked him out, Pudge still likes "The Old Man" and thinks hes really smart.
-They meet up with Colonel and Takumi and got to the forest to smoke again.
-Takumi says that hes trying to find out who actually ratted out the 2 people.
- Alaska is showing that she cares for Pudge. -
109 Days Before (Pg:44)
-They forced Pudge to go with them to their first schools basketball game.
-Pudge really ates sports since he was never good at them and didnt like anyone who played them.
-He could never make friends who played sports.
-Pudge stands up to Kevin and his friends.
-The Colonel gets kicked out of the backetball game for the 37 time in a row. -
110 Days Before (Pg:50)
-Pudge Meets Lara, a sophmore who was from Australia.
-Alaska teaches a group of there friends math so there prepared for there test.
-Shows Alaska may have reckless behaviour but shes still smart. -
100 Days Before (Pg:52)
-Alaska explains how she got her name.
-Her mom was a hippie and her dad was the republican type.
- She chose Alaska because she wanted to get out of her small town and be like the country Alaska, big and far away.
- Pudge almost kissed Alaska.
-Alaska says how she wants to get out of the labyrinth and how they "Use the future to escape the present".
-This shows she is thinking for a deeper meaning for things. -
89 Days Before (Pg:59)
-Alaska plans a triple date and got Pudge to go with Lara. -
99 Days Before (Pg:55)
-Alaska, Pudge, Colonel and Takumi gets caught smoking in the forest by the Eagle.
-The Eagle says they have to go to jury the next day so they can get there punishment.
-Alaska stayed calm and didnt freak out even though they had just got caught.
-Shows she doesnt care if she gets introuble for stuff and that shes reckless. -
98 Days Before (Pg:56)
-The 4 go to jury
-The Eagle decided that Chip and Alaska have to do community hours and if they get introuble one more time they get a call home.
-The Eagle says that Pudge is abusing his privileges and that hes hanging with the wrong crowd. -
87 Days Before (Pg:60)
-Pudge meets Jake, Alaskas boyfriend, for the first time.
-At the basketball game Colonel was trying to get kicked out again so he wouldnt lose his streak.
-One of the guys on the team threw the basketball and it hit Pudge, giving him a conucussion.
-Sara breaks up with Colonel and accuses him of cheating on her with Alaska infront of Alaskas boyfriend. -
52 Days Before (Pg:80)
-After everyone goes home for the holiday, Pudge and Alaska go to the forest.
-He tries alchol for the first time.
-He stops himself from making a move on Alaska. -
67 Days Before (Pg:71)
-The weekend warriors flooded Alaskas room, ruining all her books, but they were getting back at her for a prank she pulled on them.
-Takumi tells Pudge that Alaska was the one who ratted out Marya and Paul.
-Alaska was trying to sneak out but got caught and if she ratted someone else out she wouldnt have got expelled, so she did.
-Pudge is going to have to take the blame if they get introuble to show hes loyal to his friends -
58 Days Before (Pg:74)
-Pudge is starting to relize that Alaska is unpredicatable and he may not be able to trust her as much as he thought he could.
-Pudge asks his parents to stay at school for thanksgiving and lies saying its so he can get work done when he is actually just staying for Alaska.
-He starts feeling guilty for ditching his parents for a girl with a boyfriend but his parents already made other plans. -
49 Days Before (Pg:85)
-Alaska and Pudge start going through everyones dorm rooms "porn hunting". -
47 Days Before (Pg:88)
-Colonel's family invites Pudge and Alaska to come for thanksgiving dinner at my place.
-They find out Colonel lives in a trailer with just his mom.
-Alaska helps with dinner since shes good at cooking.
-At night Alaska and Pudge have to share the bed -
44 Days Before (Pg:93)
-On the way home they got more booze
-Alaska has a break down and comes crying to Pudge.
-She knows she messed up about ratting on Mayra and thinks she messes up everything.
-Pudge trys to comfort her but she pushes him away. -
Christmas (Pg:96)
-Everyone went home for Christmas.
-Pudge doesnt tell his parents about how he was drinking and smoking.
-He just studied the whole time. -
8 Days Before (Pg:97)
-After christmas break, Alaska comes back and starts planning a pre prank with Colonel
-Pudge feels mad/sad that hes left out after all that he has done for Alaska.
-Even though hes not helping planning it he is going to go with them when they pull the prank. -
4 Days Before (Pg:99)
-Pranks called "Barn Night"
-Pudge got told to pack for 3 nights but still doesnt know anything about the prank. -
3 Days Before (Pg:100)
-Takumi, Pudge, Colonel, Alaska and Lara all lie to the Eagle and say there all going out of town for the weekend but they are actually just staying in a barn alittle ways away.
-Colonel tells everyone the plan for the pre prank
-they are going to hack into the computures and tell Kevin and his friends family that there failing.
-Colonel had everything planned and organized
-Plan was a success.
-Alaska also sent out reports to 23 other students and Colonel got mad. -
2 Days Before (Pg:111)
-They stayed in the barn all day so they wouldnt get caught.
-They drink and play best day/worst day
-We learn that Takumi's mom died in a car crash.
-Also that Alaskas mom died from an aneurysm when she was 8 and her dad blamed her since she didnt call 911.
-That night Pudge makes a move on Lara and they kiss. They end up sleeping in the sleeping bag together. -
2 Days After (Pg:143)
-They still feel really guilty.
-Colonel has a break down and Pudge has a dream about it.
-They get told the funeral is on sunday and Pudge doesnt want to go without Colonel. -
The Last Day (Pg:123)
-New semester started.
-Pudge and Lara took a step farther into there relationship.
-That night Colonel, Pudge and Alaska went drinking again.
-Pudge ended up making out with Alaska.
-During the night Alaska started freaking out again saying she messed up. -
The Day After (Pg:137)
-The Eagle calls everyone to the gym.
-Alaska ended up getting in a car crash and dies.
-Colonel and Pudge feel guilty for letting her drive when she was drunk and sad.
-They feel like its there fault but they cant tell anyone or they will get expelled -
6 Days After (Pg:150)
- It was the day of the funeral. -They kept the casket closed so Pudge was mad he couldnt see her one more time.

7 Days After (Pg:153
-The Colonel and Pudge had to go into Alaskas room to get rid of anything they wouldnt want her aunt to see.
-Pudge takes the book "The general in his labyrinth"
-On one of the pages she wrote "straight and fast" so they thought maybe she commited sucided since she didnt try to avoid the police car. -
8 Days After (Pg: 157)
-In religion the old man put up Alaskas question for the final they had to do.
-"How will we ever get out of this labyrinth of suffering."
-Colonel got mad because people who hardly knew Alaska were saying how sad they were that she was gone and how much they loved her. -
9 Days After (Pg:159)
-The Colonel wants to try and figure out who called her that night and if she actually commited sucide.
-He wants to ask Jake if hes the one who called. -
13 Days After (Pg:161)
-Pudge and Colonel went to the police station to ask the cop whos car Alaska hit.
-He said that she didnt try swerving and even though she was really drunk, she still could've
-He also says she had white tulips in the back, flowers that Jake gave her.
-They want to find out if she was trying to bring the flowers back to him or if she was trying to kill herself with her favourite flowers. -
20 Days After (Pg:169)
-They fought over if they should call Jake or not.
-Pudge doesnt want to know what jake has to say.
-They fought and Colonel said that Alaska didnt love Pudge and if he loved her so much why would he let her go. -
27 Days After (Pg:175)
-Pudge meets up for lunch with Takumi for the first time.
-Him and Lara are official broken up.
-Pudge and Colonel plan to get drunk and steal the breathalyzer from The Eagles house.
-Colonel got as drunk as Alaska was that night to test how she would react to different situations to see if she might have accidentaly hit the police car. -
46 Days After (Pg:191)
-Pudge runs into Lara and says sorry. He feels bad for not talking to her before.
-Lara forgives him.
-Lara, Pudge, Colonel and Takumi go to the smoking pit and start making a list of why it could be sucide and why it could have been and accident. -
2 Days After (Pg:184)
-They tell Takumi about what happened that night.
-Colonel calls Jake to get some answers.
-They find out he was the one who gave her the flowers that were in the back of her car.
-That night Alaska called him cause it was there anniversary and she just randomly freaked out.
-She said she would call Jake later so they dont think she was heading to his house and they dont think she planned to kill herself if she did. -
83 Days After (Pg:201)
-Colonel, Pudge and Takumi plan a memorial prank in memory of Alaska.
-Its going to happen on Speakers Day -
102 Days After (Pg:203)
-The fake speaker is actually a male stripper.
-The prank was sucessful.
-The Eagle knew it was them buut didnt get them in trouble. -
62 Days After (Pg:197)
-Pudge is starting to get his grades up again.
-While on the phone with his mom he sees a clue.
-There was a flower drawn on the wall and knew Alaska drew it because she said she was doodling when on the phone with Jake.
-Pudge came to the conclusion that the drawing reminded her of something she forgot and thats when she freaked out. -
114 Days After (Pg:211)
-Takumi told Colonel and Pudge that on January 10th Alaskas mom died and thats the night Alaska died to.
-They came to the conclusion that Alaska forgot to bring flowers to her mothers grave and when she seen the flower she was drawing it reminded her.
-She freaked out about how she forgot and she messes up everythign and was in a rush to bring the flowers to her grave. -
136 Days After (Pg:217)
-Takumi leaves a note in Pudges room saying that he is leaving for Japan before graduation and wont see them.
-Also how he regrets not telling them he knew about January 10th and how he shouldnt have shut them out like he did.
-Then Pudge wrote his essay on how he got out of the labrinth.
