While growing up, Aliyah was always confused on whether she identified herself a he/she because she was different from others who liked the same sex. But because of society and how it would make her parent's feel she decided to keep that secret within herself.

Aliyah becomes untruthful to herself and started isolating herself from her true feelings and decided to try and have that emotion connection with the other gender and soon after, she began dating men. As she learned about intimacy, Aliyah went from men to men and before you know it, Aliyah was pregnant and were forced into marriage.

As Aliyah lays in her deathbed, she is surrounded by her 5 children and as she reflects back to her life. She tells her children how grateful she was to have them but she often lives in regret because she did not get the chance to be who she truly was and she never got the chance to live her life the way she wanted because she was so worried about what society would think about her. Before Aliyah's last breath, she told her children to be true to who they are and to never let life with regrets.
