May 1st to October 31st 1893: The World’s Columbian Exposition was held in Chicago, Illinois in Jackson Park. There was a competition for the location of the exposition. More than 716, 881 people attended this event and it was filled with commercial products. It took three years to prepare the place for the exposition and the first Ferris Wheel was there. Also, there was a commemoration for the Anniversary of the Great chicago Fire and Columbus Day.
