    Leif Discovers Vinlad

    Leif Discovers Vinlad
As Leif continued to sail in a southeast direction he discovered a new land in which he names Vinland. Thick forests covered the land. There were rich pastures, plenty of fish, and milder winters. In Vinland they found grapes which was most exciting because there aren't grapes in Greenland. Some other newly found goods were Indian corn, wild rice, and canoe birch. He names it Vinland because that meant pastureland or wine land because of the pastures and grapes.
