    Corps of Discovery Jurney

  • Corps of Discovery leave St. Louis

    The Corps of Discovery leaves the American city of St. Louis. This is the starting point where nearly all of the members go on the jurney togather. The expidition starts in this city.
  • Corps of Discovery looses its only member, Sargeant Charles Floyd.

    This is the only member to die in the Corps of Discovery, he died in 6 moulths of his expidition. He most likly died from acute appendicitis.
  • Encounter with the Sioux

    The Corps of Discovery traveled on the Missouri River. On this river they ran in to the war mongering Native American tribe the teton Sioux. The Teton Sioux would hold american or other ships using the Missouri river in their area hostage and demanded tribute from the hostages.
  • Fort Mandan

    It was winter and for this reason the expidition founded Fort Mandan. In staying there Lewis and Clark met Sacajwea and her husband Toussaint Charbonneau. Sacajwea joined the party for her translating skills. This camp at Fort Mandan left in April 7 1805
  • Sacajwiea's Baby born

    While at Fort Mandan the younge Shoshone had Toussaint Charbonneau's child. She cared for her son through out the expidition.
  • Shoshne encounter

    Lewis and Clark went ahead of the corps of discovery and discover a shoshone . The exporers were able to keep a freindly relation with the shoshone tribe. when the corps of discovery arived Sacajwea arived her and the chief were siblings.
  • The Nez Pirce encounter

    The Corps of discovery split in to two groups. Clark and 6 of his men where going through the bitter root when they encoutered the Nez Pirce tribe. This encounter was a friendly one and the natives welcomed the exporers in their tribe to stay a little while. The natives helped the exporers make canoes. The canoes were done by October 6.
  • Settled at fort Clatsop

    The Corps of Discovery was travling in oragon. The winter weather was bringing the expidtion down. They settled in a fort they made named Fort Clatop. The fort was named after the native trible called the Clatop. The Corps of Discovery left the fort in March 23 1806
  • Lewis and a member of the corps of Discovery kill 2 Black Foot indians

    Lewis and clark were talking to some black foot Natives aranging a peace deal like they had with the other tribles. Opon learning that The United States was gong to keep a peace and suppy guns and other suppys to the Black Foots enemys, the Shoshone and the Nez Pirce. They tryed to steal guns from the camp, three Black Foot were killed in the process.
