This act was developed to clarify the sale that was being made by written consent when purchasing the item. This serves to protect individuals from fraud and potential loss by establishing criminal and civil penalties for violations of the law. I chose this act to write about because it seemed interesting. I personally don't know anyone who has been victimized by telephone sales, but I hear that they are extremely rude. It protects us from fraud from the telephone sales companies.
