Kimberlyn Duncan was born on August 2, 1991.

Duncan attended Cypress Springs High School in Houston, Texas, from 2005-2009. She had a 4.85 GPA during her high school career.

Won Texas Class 5A State title in 200 meters with a time of 23.59. Had a personal best time of 23.46 in 2009, and she was ranked No. 3 among high school sprinters in the US.

Started attending Louisiana State University.

In her freshman season at LSU she won her first career All-America honor. She earned a 13th-place finish in both indoor and outdoor NCAA championships.

Proved to be the NCAA’s most dominant short sprinter during her sophomore season. Placed first in both indoor and outdoor NCAA championships in the 200-meter dash. Became the sixth athlete in NCAA history to sweep NCAA Indoor and Outdoor titles in the 200-meter dash. Had a personal record of 22.23. Duncan was selected as a finalist for The Bowerman award and as a finalist for the Honda Sports Award for women’s collegiate track and field.

She participated in the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials in Eugene, Ore. She missed her spot on Team USA by one spot as she placed fourth in the 200-meter final with a 22.34 time.

She won and defended both her NCAA Indoor and NCAA Outdoor titles in the 200-meter dash. She also captured five SEC titles and six All-SEC honors.
