    Otherwise known as Operation Overlord or D-Day, This battle occured on 5 beaches(50 mile stretch), and was one of the largest amphibious military attacks in history. This win for the allies cut off Germany supplies and stopped westward invasions in the future.

  • The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were what finally forced Japan to Surrender. The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was called the Little Boy and was the first ever Atomic bombing created and killed 80,000 immediately. The bomb dropped on Nagasaki was called the Fat Boy and killed about 40,000 initially.
