    The Battle of Britian was fought between Britian and Germany with Germany having the objective to gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force (RAF). This battle resulted in Britians victory and is considered to be Germany's first major defeat and turning point in World War 2. Britian lost 544 aircrew with 422 wounded whilst the Germans lost 2698 aircrew with 638 missing. This battle took place across the United Kingdom airspace.

    Pearl Harbour was a surpirise attack on the U.S conducted by the Japanese in Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, USA on the 7th of December 1941. This resulted in a major victory for the Japanese causing the U.S to lose four navy ships, 188 aricrafts, 2,402 Americans and much more. 1282 Americans were wounded whilst only 65 Japanese men were either killed or wounded.

    Battle of Midway
    The Battle of Midway began on the 4th June and lasted 3 days and ended 7th of June resulting in the victory of the U.S. This battle took place at Midway Atoll in the North Pacific Ocean. The Japanese intended to eliminate the United States as a strategic power in the Pacific. This is since seen as the most important battle of the Pacific Campaign of World War II. 307 Americans were killed whist 3,057 Japanese lost their lives.

    The Normandy Landings was the Allied invasion of Normandy on the 6th of June 1944 and resulted in the Allied victory. The battle took place in Normandy, France but 'D-Day' was the term used for the day of actual landing. It is unknown but is is estimated that this resulted in 4 to 9 thousand caulties for the Japanese, whilst the Americans suffered from 12,000 casulties.

    This significant battle commenced when the U.S invaded the Island of Iwo Jima and effectively captured the island from the Empire of Japan. 6,812 Americans were killed whilst the Japanese lost 21,844 soilders. This is considered to be the longest and most intence conflict in the Pacific theatre.
