  • The French and Indians War

    1754 is when the war began and 1763 is when the war ended .Both the French and British wanted to control North America and wanted to be number 1, the French and British wanted the Ohio River Valley because of the fur trade and the three rivers. The French won the early victories but the British ultimately won the war. The major negative effect the British had was that the British had a large amount of war debt and the British lost a lot of land.
  • Treaty of Paris of 1763

    The treaty of Paris was something the British and France signed to bring a official end to the war. The Treaty of Paris mark the end of French power In North America .the positive outcome for British is that they inherited land and they will double in size. The French lose the war but they wanted revenge on the British, they lost huge amount of North America territory (they would want revenge)
  • Pontiac War

    Pontiac war is when the leader of Ottawa nation formed an alliance of western Native Americans. In May 1763 Pontiac and his allies attacked British forts and settlements throughout the area. Nearly half a dozen western British forts were destroyed. The British react with equal viciousness .The name for Pontiac war was named after the leader of the Ottawa nation because he stared the war with the British. Colonies were forced to work together and had to pay the war debt .
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763 is a law created by the British to prevent wars with the North Americans, colonist was forbidden from settling west on lands won from France in the war. It says that colonist couldn’t settle on the west land because the French won the war there. It banned colonial settlement west off a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountain. Settlers were told they had to move to a location east of that line. The colonists was angry.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act is when British effort to impose new taxes on colonies, when Parliament passes the Sugar Act put a duty –or import tax on several products like wine, sugar, and other things. The British did this because they wanted more money so they can provide more for the colonial. Many people was upset because they was losing money.
