At 2:40AM Annaliese Ruben went to a Montreal hospital complaining of uncontrolled vaginal bleeding. When cops went to investigate the doctor was not for sure if it was her or not. -
Went to investigate at the apartment
At 11PM The investigaters went to the apartment and eventually found 3 dead babies -
3rd baby found dead
The third baby was layed zipped inside a 36X96 inch pouch in the attic. -
Found 2nd baby dead
The second baby was found wrapped in a towel with blood or decompositional fluids that had spread across the towel. The little corpse was in the back corner of a window seat, with dust and dead insects. The membrane-thin bone was dusted with soft downy hair, dark flesh circled the startling blue eyes, pudgy cheeks shrunk tight to delicate bones. -
Found dead baby
The baby girl was found underneath the bathroom vanity, wedged between the vantiy's back wall and a rusty drainpipe. Laying in a fetal curl, head twisted, chin jutting skyward. -

4th baby found dead
In Aurora Devereaux's house, where Annaliese Ruben had stayed for a little while, the fourth baby was found in a closet behind a panel attached to the wall with nails in the corner. The baby was wrapped in a fabric that was degraded and easily torn, the bones were small and brown and curled around a fragmented skull. -
Temperance traveled to Annaliese's family and acquaintances
Temperance went even more west to Yellowknife to meet her family and get to know more about Annaliese. While she was there she met her sister, Nellie Hook; her brother, Daryl Beck; and the people that she had stayed with, Horace Tyne. -
Nellie Hook
At a diner, Temperance asked the waitress, Nellie, if she had seen Annaliese Ruben, she hesatated and snuck out of the diner and then quickly ran off. Later, Temperance found out that Annaliese and Nellie were sisters. -
Annaliese dies
Annaliese heard that Temperance had been looking for her and that Temperance was scaring Nellie. In the woods, back behind Annaliese someone shot her. -
Daryl's body is dug up
Daryl had died 3 years before Annaliese in an house fire that was "accidental". After finding out that her sister was murdered, Nellie decided to have her brother's body reinvestigated by Temperance and her people. -
Land Claims
Temperance had found the land claims that were to Nellie, Daryl, and Annaliese. Tyne wanted the land. He had already killed Daryl and Annaliese, Nellie agreed to turn the land over to "save the caribou" -

An inportant body is found
The body of Annaliese Ruben was found, laying on her side with translucent skin peeling from the fingertips in a noxious mix of mud, stagnant water, and arsenic-laced sludge spilled from the barrel and spread across the ground
