Kathleen Kane becomes the first female Attorney General in PA history. Her victory is 54% to 46% and is an upset considering she is a democratic candidate in a state that is for the majority Republican.

Kane hires an investigator to look into the handling of the Jerry Sandusky allegations. Specifically the actions of Governor Tom Corbett, who was a member of the Penn State Board of Trustees.

Kane is alleged to have broken up a sting operation but is accused of defemation. She will go on to hire a lawyer to represent her.

Bumstead reports that Kane's Chief of Staff, Johnthan Duecker has been accused of sexual assault and that she knew about the accusations and did nothing. They reccommend that Kane fire him, but she refuses.

The Moulton Report is released by the AG office. It only mildly reveals wrongdoing by Tom Corbett. However, in the backlash it is revealed by the press that the report uncovered sexually explicit emails that circuated throughout the AG office when it was under Corbett's control. Kane will later go on to refuse to release any of the emails.

Kathleen Kane hands over 4,000 sexually explicit emails that were discovered in the investigation and found in the Moulton Report. She hands them over to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Justice Seamus McCaffery resigns after it comes to light that he too was one of the scandalous government employees.

The AG is faced with charges related to leaking secret information about the PSU case to reporters. She publicly denounces these accusations with her new lawyer. She also will later refuse to srep down in the wake of all these accusations.

Kane is ordered to stand trial for the wrongful firing of her Appeals Office Head James Baker. She is also faced with numerous other charges. Her lawyer claims that Baker's firing was justified.

Kane's Chief of staff is accused of sexual abuse and they reccommend that he be fired by Kane. However Kane refuses to fire him. Kane is also accused of previously knowing of the accusations, and not doing anything.

Kane's office in Harrisburg is searched for evidence of leaking information by the police.

A judge finds the AG guilty of a total of 8 criminal counts. She is arraigned, fingerprinted, and mugshotted. She is eventually released on bail.

In a public address, Kane calls on PA Supreme Court Justice Carpenter to release the pornographic emails that the entire scandal evolves around. She states that she will not take questions unless this is done.

PA Governor Tom Wolf says he will remove Kane from Attorney General if there is a 2/3 house vote in favor of removing her.

Kane looks to make moves to get her law license reinstated. This comes in the aftermath of her decision and announcement to run for reelection in 2016.
