    prohibition was the national ban on the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol. it caused alot of people to be upset, and lead to people illegally making, selling, and transporting their own booze to make money. Prohibition started in 1920 and ended in 1933, when it was made legal for people to start drinking alcohol again

    Joe Louis is a famous heavy weight boxer. he was the world heavy weight champion from 1937 to 1949. He was nicknamed the brown bomber. He had a reputation for being an honest hard working fighter, in a time where the sport was mainly popular for gambling

So many young men have died in the war that they were competing for mates. The young flappers drank in public, and smoked. They were much more outgoing and independent.

He named the active agent pennicilin. Pennicilin has very many uses, and was used to cure illnesses and infections.
