When Julia was only eighteen she got married o Ulysses S. Grant.They had meet when she was at boarding school and when she came he came to.Her parnets wnted them t get married at there farm White Heaven so they did.

After getting married two years later Julia had her first child Frederick. Frederick was born at White Heaven in May 30,1850. They wanted there first child to be born at White Heaven where her parnets lived and then have there second child at Ulysses parnets house in Galena,Illinois.

Two years after Julia had Frederick they decited they wanted to have another chlid.They named her second son after Ulysses his name is Ulysses Simpson.

Ellen was Julia's 1st girl but 3rd child.She was named after Julias mom. Her nickname is Nellie. When Nellie was ten she went to boarding like her mom.

Jesse was in 1857 he has no nickname like frederick. He was Julia's fourth child. He was born at White Heaven. He went to boarding at ten just like Nellie and Julia.

Julia designed Nellies wedding. She was happy about that. Nellie got married in the East room at the white house. She got married to Algernon Charles Frederic Sartoris a wonderful man.

Julia got to tag along with Ulysses. She was very excited about that.It took them four years to travel around the world but she said it was worth it.

Ulysses had a bad illness that caused him to die. They saw it coming but not this soon. Ulysses was born on April 27 1822 and died on July 23 1885.

When Ulysses got elected president Julia became the first lady. Julia was happy about being the first lady but she did not want to move all of her stuff to the White House. She did it anyway.
