At age 16, Juan was very athletic and tall. He excelled in sports such as fencing, skiing, and boxing. So, he decided to go to military school.

After Juan finished military school, he served as an attachè in Chile. He travelled to Italy to observe the rise in Fascists and Nazis. This was right before WWII

Juan was returning to Argentina. He used his knowledge to achieve the rank of colonel. He also joined a secret group of military officers named El Grupo de Oficiales Unidos.(United Officer’s Group)

Juan was favoured by president Edelmiro J. Farrell. He became vice president in late 1944. His presidency ended the following year.

Juan married Eva Duarte. She was an actor, and was known as Evita. She helped Juan in his campaign for president and later became first lady of Argentina alongside Juan as president. She died on July 26th, 1952 in Buenos Aires from cervical cancer.

Juan had just won the presidential election for Argentina. He was already favoured by the labourers known as the descamisados, or “shirtless ones”. He was also popular among the military rank-and-file.

Juan was now being driven out of presidency and into exile. He fled to Paraguay, later Panama, and finally settled in Madrid, Spain. He returned to Argentina in 1973.

Peròn was still in Exile in Madrid. He met a woman named Isabel Martínez. They later got married. This was Juan’s third wife.

Peron returned to Argentina and regained presidency. His wife, Isabel, was vice president. The elections were held in march, but riots and other things like the Ezeiza massacre occurred.

Juan Peròn died from a heart attack in Olivos, Argentina.He was 78. His health was declining earlier. Isabel took over as president for the rest of his presidency.
