    The first camera was invented in the 17th century. It was similar as a projector, because, it worked by a light and a small hole on the wall of a dark room. So the camera showed the outside image.

    In the 19th century ther was a lot of progress about the camera. The first one was done by a French inventor, Nicéphore Niepce. He covered a piece of metal with tar and then put it in a box with a lens next to the window. After 8 hours, he found out one image of the outside.

    The second one, was done by 1839, his colleague, Louis Daguerre. He was taking pictures in 15 minutes. But it only take one photo in a long time.

    At the same time, William Fox Talbot experimentig with a paper. Ih his progres ther discovered the negatives, then copies could be made.

    By the 1870s, we don't know who invented it but he helped that the camera was hold by the hands. Besides, exposure times were
    reduced to less than a second

    Then in 1888, a small camera, the Kodak, was invented by the American George Eastman and it used a celluloid roll. Everyone could use this type of camera.

    Digital cameras were first developed for military and astronomy
    purposes in the 1970s.
    The pixels
    combine to convert light into electronic data. Nowadays, many people use the digital camera on their mobile phones.
