    French and Indian war

    It was basically the French and Indians against the British, but it was fought in North America. It was over land.
  • Albany Plan of Union

    Representatives met in Albany to try to become alliances with the Iroquois. However, they said 'no' and the Albany Plan of Union was rejected because some people thought it have the council too much power.
  • Treaty of Paris

    This marked the end of the French and Indian War. The French and Spanish surrendered land to Britian.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    It was meant to prevent Indian wars and it declared that all lands west of Appalachians were Indian reserves.
  • Stamp Act

    It placed a tax on legal documents, like newspapers, marriage licenses, and wills. This made colonist mad, started Sons of Liberty and Stamp Act Congress
  • Boston Massacre

    Shots were fired from British soldiers into a crowd of angry colonist. 5 colonist died.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Sons of Liberty dressed as Indians, boarded a ship and dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. They did this because of the Tea Act of 1733.
  • Lexington and Concord

    The British were going to attack, but Paul Revere warned colonist and they were able to prepare an ambush. British won Lexington, and Americans won Concord.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The colonist had the hill and destroyed the British, however they ran out of supplies and had to retreat.
  • The king ignored the Olive Branch Petition

    King George III ignored their petition and declared the colonies to be in open rebellion
  • Ration of independence

    It was the document of their justification for independence written by Thomas Jefferson.
  • Saratoga

    Burgoyne was forced to surrender. British were defeated.
  • Treaty of Paris

    This marks the official end of the war. America gained its independence.
