    Joanne Rowling was born at Yate General Hospital

  • Rowling writes her first book

    The book was about a rabbit named Rabbit

  • Collage Graduation

    Graduated from University with a BA in French and the Classics in 1986

  • Harry pops into Rowling's head.

    While waiting on a delayed train, Rowling suddenly formed the idea of Harry Potter in her head. She had no pen so she only sat and thougt until she arrived at home

  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone is published

    Rowling received an offer from Bloomsbury Publishing asking if they could publish her book.

  • Rowling gets a movie

    The movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" comes out on November 16, 2001
