challenge to physical health, grief, and stress
Jeff was in a bad car accident at age 5 that left him with a brocken leg, sadley he lost his mom in that car crash. Jeff had to get over his mom, while trying to stay healthy. It was hard for jeff to do sports without his mom being there. Jeff was very depressed and sad. His father started hanging out with him more and helping him get pass the lost of his mom. -
Health goals
After the passing of his mom, jeff started creating goals so he can accomplish them and be a happier person. -
Jeff' gets the flu
Jeff is in bed sick wishing he could go to school. His dad tells him all about what he has and how to prevent it. He tells him he came take a nightquil to make his self feel better and ti meka sure he washes his hands. -
Tobacco problems
Jeff is angry at his father because he tried ciggarettes and he liked them. Jeff researches tobacco and finds out it has substances that can give you cancer. Tobacco is also bad for your lungs. Jeff tells his dad instantly and give him the "your the only one I have" speech. Even though the erge is still there, he stops for his son. -
Family health history
One thing jeff loves to do is eat fast food, even though he stays active and stays in sports but he struggles with eating healthy foods. His dad tells him about how his family struggles with diabetes and he doesn't want Jeff to go that same route. -
Puberty
Jeff is now 14 he is known as what they call a late bloomer. Feeling strange like he is getting taller. He complains to his dad that his voice is cracking when he talks and has hair in that area. hiss dad tells him that it is puberty and it is natural, it means you are growing up. Jeff get's gets excited about it. -
Drinking alcohol
Jeff is now 19 in college as a freshman, he moves in with his freind from highschool Larry. Larry goes to parties every other day and Jeff is concerned about what Larry is doing. Like the same ol jeff he researches the effects of alcohol and tells Larrry that alcohol effects the pancreas, brain, liver, and even sleeping habits. Jeff tells him that if you have food piosoning and go to sleep it can be fatal. This scares Larry but he knows Jeff would'nt lie to him. -
Statying abstinent
Jeff also has his own problems staying free of sex, Jeff is still a virgin but he has had a lot of oppertunities. Larry tells him to wait until marrage and until you meet the right one. You don't know what these girls have. If you end up doing it, use protection.
