    Treasury Department seizes all Japanese banks and businesss. I Hear it on my radio, Bank accounts are frozen to all Japanese Americans. Panick escalated rather quickly in my family. Not only are they takeing jobs from us for something we didnt even do personally, but now they are takeing all our money we already had. My father will be out of work, no food on our table, this is terrible.

    The place ive been sent to sucks. There are eight of us in a 20-by-25-foot room. everything is so hard people cramming into me everywhere i go, Im 18 and being treated as a prisioner, i want out.

    Hurd about it from the guy across the street and its time to volunteer, time to join this combat team. its a scary thought leaveing my family and going out knowing the country is against my people, but i can do it.

    Im an 19 year old, single mother, and im forced to join the army. have no choice but to register, no choice but to leave my child. laying in bed shakeing scared is what ill have instead of stareing at my beautiful boys eyes. This is an emotional night in my life.

    Closure of camps The WRA announced that all internment camps would be closed before the end of 1945 and the entire WRA program would be liquidated on June 30, 1946
    Working with the WRA has been a large part of my life for so long, and i hear the news that this program will no longer be here, ill be out of work. hard to believe after years there is an end to this all.
