On Devember 7, 1941 Japan bombed the U.S military base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. -
Japan's huge empire
Japan had many victories in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. By 1942 their empire started from the Aleuflan Islands to the Solomon Islands and from Wake Island to Burma. Unfortunately they were attacked by the U.S causing them to lose some islands. -

On August 6, 1945 the U.S dropped the first bomb on Hiroshima. -
American occupation in Japan ends
The American occupation ended in September 1951. The Japanese had signed peace treaties with other nations. Japan and America became allies and a security treaty was signed allowing American bases and troops in Japan.
