    Janns mother started playing guitar when she was younger and she always loved music from a young age. When she was alittle bit older she started taking her moms guitar and playing it secretly.

    Jann was very self concious about her music and letting anyone hear her. She never had the confidence as a child and adolescence.

    Jann was always interested in music and her mothers records. She had many favourites but the one she loved the most was Janis Ians record and that is why chose "At Seventeen" for her first song to learn on guitar.
  • As an adolescent her father took up drinking, was kicked out of the house and later returned sober.

    As bills piled up and life got hard Janns father took to drinking to ease the pain. As he started coming home drunk many nights, his wife decided it was safer for the family for him to leave. After months of him being sober he finally got accepted back into the family by his wife and children. He never drank excessively again.

    After building up confidence, Jann finally performs infront of her peers and familly for the first time. She had been keeping all this a secret until the right time to shock everyone.

    Jann started to finally enjoy singing and see herself pursuing it as a career.

    After Jann pursued singing as a career she decided oit was time to write her own songs. After writing many songs, she chose one and recorded it with Circa Sound. At the time it was a 45 record.

    While driving in the car 2 weeks after the recording, Jann and her mom heard her first recording on the radio.
  • Now helps out with different world organizations like World Vision.

    After many challenges in her life Jann Arden has partnered with many world wide organizations to share her music, talent and love for people everywhere.
  • Jann has stayed with Universal Records for 20 years and so far has made 11 Albums.

    Jann has been, and continues to be, very sucessful with her music and contribution to the world around her.
