    Victoria Iron Company became Lal Lal Iron Mining Co. Ltd in 1874.

  • Small Blast Furnace developed

    Lal Lal Iron Mining Co. Ltd built a small blast furnace in 1875 and was operated into the 1880's but was not an economic project. A satisfactory production was only acheived five years after development

  • Closing of First Smelting Plant in Australia

    The first attempt of iron and steel establishment was shut down after the uneconomical smelting plant which was closed down in 1877.
