    The nation’s second largest health insurance company, Anthem, announced that the personal information of nearly 80 million customers had been compromised as a result of a data breach.

    The U.S. Office of Personal Management (OPM) reported publically that the Social Security numbers, dates and places of birth and current and former addresses of at least 4 million current and former federal employees had been compromised as a result of a data breach. According to OPM, the cyberattack began in 2014, but was not detected until April 2015.
