    Telex Messaging Network comes on line

    Connects these teleprinters to each other over voice telephone lines, routed by modified telephone switches. Telex started first as a way to distribute military messages but then went world wide. It was still being used in the 2000s

    Paul Otlet created a Mundaneam to work on integrating telegraphy and multiple media. He worked on sound recordings to television. All these things share key features, automated cross-references are used today which is now called hyperlinks.

    George Stibitz created this on his kitchen table and it provides proof of applying Boolean logic to the design of computers. This shows a result in the complex calculator which was created in 1939.

    Elektro robot

    This robot was built by Westinghouse and responds to the rythm of voice commands. The relay-based robot also delivers wisecracks pre-records on 78 rpm records.
