Introduction to the characters
Roger Brown lives along with his beautiful wife in a really exotic house. Roger Brown is a headhunter in a business firm called pathfinder. However Roger is also a professional thief, he steals paintings with significant values. His wife Diana Brown knows nothing, and when she is gifted with exclusive jewelry she assumes the money comes from his normal payments. -
The emplyment of Jermais Lander
Roger is tasked with finding a new boss for his company. Roger does not care about any of Jermais Lander´s achievements. He points at the painting behind him and says "You see that painting? It´s just a lady with some black lines over it, however it´s worth half a million pounds". Jermais Lander does not understand the relevansy relevans with it at all. Roger tells him that is what everything is about, and that he can come back when he fully understands it. -
Clas Greve´s expensive painting
During the opening of Diana Brown´s gallery, Roger is introduced to a man called Clas Greve, a high ranking business man unemployed at the moment. He also heard that Clas had a painting from world war two, worth a few million pounds. Roger offers him the leading job in his company, but first he asks if he would like to be absent in a job interview. Clas hesitates, but accepts an informal job interview at tennis practice. -
Tennis practise
During the tennis match Roger interviews Clas whilst he tries to gain information about his personal life. Roger also asks where he lives, so that he may consider stealing his valuable painting. To Roger´s surprise he finds out that Clas is a retired military veteran with a speciality in human tracking. Therefor the task becomes that much more difficult. -
The theft
Roger has successfully intruded Clas Greve´s house. The mission went without any mishaps, however something changed Roger´s life for eternity. When Roger called his wife, he could hear another phone vibrating. To Roger´s unfortunat discovery it was his wife´s phone. Finding his wife´s phone at Clas Greve´s house made his emotions go wild. Roger also has had an affair, but he was way over it. -
Ove Kjirkerud dies
When Roger leads Ove back to Ove´s own house. Roger tries to calm him down but Ove is in real pain. He suggests that he could bring him some milk to ease down the pain, upon his return to Ove he is confronted at gun point. Little does Ove know that Roger was carrying a gun himself. Roger shot him first. Roger spends the night trying to clean up his mess -
The poisoning of Ove Kjikerud
Ove Kjikerud is Roger´s plug when it comes to selling the valuable paintings on the illegal market. The following day, Roger finds Ove unconscious in his own car. Now he knows that Clas is familiar with the burglary of his painting because he placed a toxic dart in the driving seat of his car. In the rush of adrenalin, Roger tries to drown Ove to get rid of all evidences, however Ove wakes up. -
Roger is in great danger!
Roger has just killed Ove, but the situations is about to get more tense. Just outside Ove´s house, Clas is waiting for him to great him. Roger opens the door and spots Clas, now he is franticly panicking. Clas tells him that he needs to tell him something, however Roger does not take the bait and runs for his car, and escapes the situation. -
A fatal crash
During the heated escape from Clas, Roger loses control over his stolen tractor and runs off the highway and fades into unconsciousness. Afterwards the ambulance shows up and transfers him to safety. -
Another kill for Roger...
During the escape from Clas, Roger pulls up at a farm. He tries to convince the farm owner that he is in danger, although Roger is covered in blood, the farmer does not grant him permission. Roger did what he had to, and went into his farm. In spite of the attempt to hide, he was tracked down by Clas. When Clas entered the farm, Roger became desperate and decided to hide in the excrements of the outhouse. Although not pleasing, Roger hid successfully, and continued his escape. -
The hospital chase
As soon as Roger wakes up from his short coma, he immediately picks up on the situation. He realizes that he still is in danger. He walks towards the hospital door and looks out. There he sees to abnormally large police officers waiting for his awakening. Roger waits until the police officers have left for coffee break and runs for his life. It does not take long before other police men take action. Roger is now waiting to be transferred to an institution. -
The miracle
Roger brown survives on impact because he was crammed against two larger police officers. Roger hears footsteps behind him, he already knows who it is. Clas looks into the vehicle and spots Roger, he is covered in blood, but not his own. Roger plays along, and pretend to be lifeless. It worked and Clas walked away convinced. Roger proceeds to cut his own hair off, because he believes Clas tracks him with some sort of tracking device in his hair. As soon as he has shaved his head, he heads home. -
A lost warning...
Roger is beeing transported to prison. Roger overhears the police radio, there is a man on the other line telling them about a stolen trailer. The police men kind of shrug it off, however Roger is suspicious. A few minutes later the trailer can be seen behind the police car. One of the police men take action and steps out of the vehicle, and signals for the trailer to pull over to the side. It got ignored and the trailer rammed the car and sent it flying down a cliff, the outcome was severe. -
Diana´s shock
Diana is greeted by a distressed Roger. She is in shock of his new appearance, and she asks why he is so nervous. Roger tells her about the whole situation. Diana does not understand why Roger would try to steal the painting. Roger tells him that he earns the money that way. Diana is furious, but he tells her that he only did it for her, so that she would be pleased with him. He tells her that he loves her and is afraid to lose her. Diana cries along with him, and hugs him tight. -
The setup
Roger has told his wife to replace Clas Greve´s bullets with blanks. Roger heads back to Ove´s place and waits patiently for Clas to come. He does so too, but what Clas doesn´t know is that there are multiple cameras pointed at him, but not at Roger. Clas goes on to threaten Roger, but when he shoots first, he knows it was just blanks. Roger shoots Clas dead, and escapes out of the window. -
The unsolved mystery
When Clas Greve was shot dead, Roger was sitting besides Ove´s dead body. This was not caught on camera. The only problem with the whole perfect setup is that Ove was already dead when Clas was shot. But this mystery is for the police to solve. Roger continues on with his high ranking job, and lives a happily married life. Never accused of anything ever since.
