Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC)
IPCC was established in 1988 by the United Nations Environmental Programme and the World Meteorological Organisation. It provides assessment of the state of knowledge on climate change at regular intervals. -
The Kyoto Protocol
It was signed by more than 160 countries during the third UNFCCC conference to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to 5.2% below 1990 levels before 2012. -
Global economic crisis
As the national economies fell, the GHG emissions from industries also reduced. -
Paris Agreement
The Paris agreement was adopted by 196 parties and it is a 5 year cycle of increasingly ambitious climate action carried out by countries. -
The 25th Conference of Parties(COP 25)
COP 25 decided what is to be done in future in the fields of finance, transparency of climate action, forests and agriculture, technology, capacity building, loss and damage, indigenous people, cities, oceans and gender. -
The sixth IPCC report
The sixth IPCC report will be an update on the climate change after the last IPCC report which was made in 2015.
