    The Cider tray ws the only way that Ada could go and talk to Inman. It was her accuse to go and visit him. The reason she took him cider the first time was that it made her able to introduce herself. The women that he worked said he's been working harder ever sence she got there.
  • Virginia Hospital & Peanut Man

    Virginia Hospital & Peanut Man
    Inman is lying in the Virginia Hospital recovering from his war wounds he recieved from fighting in the Confederate army, ready to be realeased and start his journey to reunite with Ada. Inman talks to a blind man and realizes that losing something you already have is worse than not getting what you want.
  • Reverend Veasey

    Reverend Veasey
    Inman's journey westward is fraught with violence and danger. Inman intervenes when he finds a dissolute preacher, Soloman Veasey, trying to murder a slave that he got pregnant. Inman demanded that Reverend Veasey needed to return the slave. In result, Inman left Veasey tied up to a pole with a note of what sin he had committed.
  • Snitching Junior

    Snitching Junior
    Inman and Reverend Veasey were walking through the woods and discovered a large cow that was no longer living as well as a young man named Junior. Junior invited both of them to come home with him to eat dinner, have a good time, and stay the night. Little did they know, Junior reported them to the Home Guard. When they arrived, Junior handed both Inman and Veasey over to the Home Guards.
  • The Goat Lady

    The Goat Lady
    When Inman is laying in the feild he is chained to death. This lady called the Goat Lasy, pulls him on a barrel to her cambin. She shows him that what life is like if you cut off the world completely. She helped him get heathy and then sent him on his way to reach Ada.
  • The widow and Inman

    The widow and Inman
    Sara shows how women probably feel during this time. Inman makes her feel comfort and secure. Probably how her husband made her feel before he left for war. That night she gives Inman some food and mends his clothes and then tells him her story. Despite her bravery, she was close to depair. The next day Inman kills three federal soliders . The soliders tried to still the hog which was her main source of food for the winter. Also they tried to kill Sara and her sick baby.
