The English Magna Carta
Basically, it was the first document that ensured certain rights for a man - a contract of sorts between the government and the governed. And that the king did not have controll over everybody.Like today are President isnt in controll over everybody. -
Mayflower Compact
It is because the Constitution as is the Mayflower Compact were formed on the same ideas. The ideas of equality and the fact that everyone was created equal. Like today we have a formed government to keep our country together. -
English Bill of RIghts
Almost every right that citizens were given. State rights', civil liberties, and spread of power for government. And also i the first ten admendments to the Constitution and detail the protection of individual rights.We today allso have rights just like that. -
The Great Compromise
It created two types of government. One based on population(House of Representatives), the other gave equal representation to each state.Like today we have two types of government the Senatte and the House of Representatives. -
Three-Fifths Compromise
It was a debate on if they should count the slaves to the population for taxes or not. And if the slaves should be counted in the number of representatives they could send. We dont have that rule today because we dont have slaves anymore. And was permision hranted at the Constitutional Convention to the Southern States that they could count 3 of every 5 slaves in their population.
