Japan was victorious during the 7 days of fighting, however they only gained occupation of Northern Vietnam. -
Ho Chi Minh Starts the Viet Minh
The Viet Minh was originally created to free Vietnam from the French but then later formed into a group that was opposed of Japan occupation as well and later South Vietnam because of their involvement with the US. -
