Peeta Mellark is selected as the male candidate for district twelve. It is helpfull that he and Katniss know each other and they know how to work as a team. -
Team up
Katniss meets Rue, a twelve year old from district 11. They create an alliance and agree to watch eachothers backs. -
the injury
Peeta Mellark was deeply cut in his leg, thus he found a place to hide out on the shore of the pond. Katniss found him and gave him medicine to try and cure it. This gives them a chance to create an alliance. -
Team effort
Katniss and Peeta are not going out to kill the other tributes. Instead they hid in the cave and other places to try and not get killed. -
The blessing
Claudis Templesmith changes the rul to where there can be a dual-victory. Which meant if Katniss and Peeta both are the last tributes, they will both be victorious. -
Possible suicide
Katniss and Peeta both survive and are the last two tributes left. they threaten to eat the poisonous and deadly berries if they don't win together. -
Great news
Seneca Crane announces that both Katniss and Peeta are the victors. It would be better to have two than none at all.
